As part of our on-going support for the enthusiasm shown by the people of Bexhill for their motor sport heritage, I felt that whole new generations of people in the area are 'thirsty' for information about the wonderful competition cars built in the town in the 1950's.
As a result I arranged for the local 'micro' brewery to produce us some beer in celebration of Elva which linked in perfectly with our efforts to find and restore an Elva sports racing car to be displayed in the extended Bexhill Museum.
The beer has been a great success, we have found a perfect car for the museum and it is anticipated that the Elva-Climax Mk.III will be fully prepared when the museum reopens in early 2009.
Meanwhile we have moved production of Elva Ale a few miles along the south coast to cope with demand for this top quality product described as a 'intensely flavoured, malty, hoppy strong ale that makes your mouth water. Amber/brown in colour and full bodied.'
